A UK airline which operates flights out of Aberdeen is reportedly on the brink of collapsing into administration .

Eastern Airways has filed a notice of intention to appoint an administrator, providing a temporary freeze that stops creditors from taking legal action against the business for ten days, the Sun reports.

Flights from the Granite City to Wick, Teesside and Humberside have all been cancelled on Monday, October 27 following the announcement.

Eastern Airways was launched in 1997 and flies to several domestic airports in the UK, including Aberdeen, Humberside, London Gatwick, Newquay, Teesside International and Wick.
