A 20-year-old woman was killed in a shooting early Oct. 27 in South Akron, Lt. Michael Murphy with Akron police said in a press release.
Police responded at about 5:35 a.m. to the 400 block of Stanton Avenue for the reported shooting. Upon arrival, officers discovered the victim had sustained a gunshot wound. She was pronounced deceased at the scene by Akron Fire paramedics, Murphy reported.
Akron police are still investigating the shooting.
