A burst water main in Cambridge has left Mill Road closed. The issue was reported by Cambridgeshire County Council at 11.20am on Monday (October 27).

Cambridge Water confirmed the water main had been repaired by 2pm. The road closure is expected to be lifted by the end of the day on Monday.

A Cambridgeshire County Council spokesperson said at 11.20am on Monday: "This road [Mill Road] is currently closed for emergency works by Cambridge Water. Please plan your journey."

A spokesperson for Cambridge Water added at around 2pm: "There was a burst water main on Mill Road. This has been repaired, and we are currently reinstating the road.

"The road closure will be lifted by the end of today."
