How do two musical artists pull off the New York wedding of the century? Throw it at the Chelsea Hotel, pass out copies of Patti Smith’s Just Kids that double as seating assignments, and get your close friend and collaborator Rufus Wainwright to sing a surprise a cappella rendition of Leonard Cohen’s “Chelsea Hotel #2.” Such was the feat pulled off by singer-songwriter Carly Rae Jepsen and Grammy-winning music producer Cole Marsden Greif-Neill, or Cole M.G.N, who got married earlier this month at the bohemian institution. “We knew we wanted a location that meant something to us, and the Chelsea Hotel had become a home away from home every time we were in New York,” Jepsen told Vogue . “As artists, its iconic history and lore made it that much more appealing.”
