CLEVELAND — Bobby George, who is well known for his ownership of restaurants, including TownHall in Cleveland , has been indicted on a new charge more than a year after his arrest for rape and attempted murder .

According to Cuyahoga County Common Pleas Court records, George was "indicted by information" on a fifth-degree felony charge of attempted strangulation. This means George was charged directly by prosecutors via a bill of information after waiving his right to a grand jury.

Previously, Jefferson County Prosecuting Attorney Jane Hanlin was appointed to lead the case after Cuyahoga County Prosecutor Michael O'Malley recused himself amid concerns of a potential conflict of interest.
