Homeowners have been warned over the dangers of opening their doors for delivery packages.
This advice was sadly inspired by a disturbing case last year in which a former UPS employee was accused of pretending to be a delivery driver before three people were shot dead inside a Minnesota home, CNN reported in 2024 .
Dannah Eve, a US-based safety educator and digital creator, shared an important message on TikTok, urging everyone to stop opening their front doors to anyone they’re not expecting—uniform or not.
She said: "This is a perfect example as to why I never open my door to anybody that I don't know or that I'm not expecting. And yes, that includes delivery drivers in uniform.”
