The Sampson Middle School Dark Horses left no doubt Thursday night, shutting out the Hobbton Wildcats 30-0 at Dark Horses Stadium to secure back-to-back conference championships. The victory not only sealed another title for Sampson Middle but also avenged an early-season overtime loss to Hobbton in non-conference play.
The Dark Horses opened the game, moving the ball efficiently until a pair of early fumbles derailed their first drive. Hobbton recovered and started near midfield but couldn’t capitalize, as the Sampson defense quickly forced a punt after a sack on third down.
