Nagpur: The vibrant festival of Chhath Puja , one of the most important religious celebrations for the North Indian community, was observed with great devotion and enthusiasm across Nagpur on Monday. Large numbers of devotees gathered at Ambazari Lake , Futala Lake , Police Line Takli , and Gorewada Lake to offer prayers to the setting sun.

The Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC) made elaborate arrangements to ensure the smooth conduct of the rituals and the convenience of devotees. Acting under the guidance of Municipal Commissioner and Administrator Dr. Abhijit Chaudhari and Additional Commissioner Smt. Vasumana Pant , the preparations were supervised by Deputy Commissioner (Solid Waste Management) Rajesh Bhagat .
