Eight years after he was acquitted of a murder charge, a South Side drill rapper with close ties to Chicago musician Lil Durk was shot to death in Little Village over the weekend.
Devonsha Collier, 35, who recorded under the stage name “THF Bayzoo,” was shot and fatally wounded around 3 p.m. Saturday in the 3100 block of South St. Louis Avenue, according to Chicago Police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office.
Two other men, ages 39 and 42, were also wounded in the shooting, according to police. Collier was pronounced dead early Sunday at Mount Sinai Hospital. No suspects were in custody as of Monday.
