ATLANTA, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) - The Southeastern Conference has suspended referee Ken Williamson for the remainder of the 2025 season after his crew’s performance in Georgia’s 20-10 win at Auburn on Oct. 11, according to multiple reports.

Yellowhammer News first reported the suspension on Wednesday.

The controversial call with the most impact from this game came late in the first half, when Auburn, up 10-0, looked to extend its lead with a quarterback sneak on third-and-goal from the Georgia 1.

As quarterback Jackson Arnold reached for the end zone, UGA linebacker Raylen Wilson punched the ball from Arnold’s grasp, leading to a UGA recovery and a lengthy review that was ultimately upheld.
