NEW YORK - Jack DeJohnette, the acclaimed jazz drummer renowned for his collaboration with Miles Davis on the groundbreaking 1970 fusion album and his work alongside Keith Jarrett and numerous other jazz legends, has passed away at the age of 83.
The acclaimed drummer died Sunday in Kingston, New York, of congestive heart failure, surrounded by his wife, family and close friends, his assistant, Joan Clancy, told The Associated Press.
