Dallas-Cherryville Highway - Lee Lingerfelt

In 1901, Lee Lingerfelt was returning to Dallas late at night from a party he had attended in Cherryville. He and his friends had quite a few drinks at the event and drunkenly stopped at the Van Sellars store for a late night snack along their route, according to Alexander Brooks, the Gaston County Museum’s community engagement manager.
