The Dutchess County Housing Trust Fund , established in 2022 to address accessibility challenges by supporting the development and preservation of affordable housing efforts, is awarding $2.3 million to two projects in northern Dutchess.
A project in the Town of Rhinebeck has been awarded $1.46 million, and $850,000 has been awarded to a Village of Red Hook project working to create 100 total new and affordable units.
"Home is truly where the heart is, but finding an affordable home has never been more challenging," Dutchess County Executive Sue Serino said in a statement. "Our Housing Trust Fund has been such an important tool in creating new housing units that provide accessible choices for our neighbors as they seek homes where they can live and thrive here in our community."
