That's because of a major change underway at LAX this week as the airport began closing one of its terminals ahead of a multi-year renovation project.

The airport began winding down operations in Terminal 5, home to gates used by American Airlines, Spirit Airlines, and JetBlue Airlines, on Tuesday, Oct. 21, with the terminal set to be fully closed a week later.
