Commuters in the southwest metro will soon find a busy highway entrance and exit reopened after months of disruption.

The City of Edina announced recently that construction work to replace the Vernon Avenue Bridge over Highway 100 is entering its final weeks, with the new bridge and all ramps to the highway expected to reopen by mid-November.

The last phase of the project saw the closure of all the ramps to and from Hwy. 100 at Vernon Avenue in mid-September. During the summer, the southbound exit ramp from Hwy. 100 to Vernon had been kept open to minimize disruption for drivers and businesses.
