AMARILLO, Texas (KAMR/KCIT) - The United States Attorney’s office submitted a motion in Amarillo Federal Court on Monday, asking for a protective order to shield a substantial amount of evidence with personal information as investigations continue into a man accused of planning an attack on a Fourth of July event in Canyon.

18-year-old Kevin Hunt was indicted in September on a charge of alleged "attempted use of a weapon of mass destruction," and indicted in October on other charges of alleged possession of "components of explosives," "attempted capital murder of multiple persons," and "terrorism."

Previously, Hunt was detained on July 2 "on an emergency mental health warrant" for alleged concerns he might harm himself or others, and was charged on July 11 with alleged possession of comp
