CADILLAC — A Marion man has pleaded no contest to multiple felony charges connected to an assault and high-speed police chase across Wexford and Osceola counties earlier this year, according to Michigan Attorney General Dana Nessel.
Per an Oct. 27 news release, Darrin Rasheed Martin, 28, entered the plea Friday to two counts of assault with intent to murder, one count of discharging a weapon from a motor vehicle, one count of third-degree fleeing and eluding police, and two counts of possession of a firearm by a felon.
Under a plea agreement, Martin will serve 15 to 30 years in prison for the assault charges and an additional mandatory two-year sentence for the firearm charges.
