MAXTON, N.C. -- At least two people are dead, and several others were seriously injured after a shooting at a large Halloween party in Robeson County, North Carolina.

The Robeson County Sheriff's Office said 13 people were shot, just outside of Maxton.

More than 150 people ran from the location before deputies arrived about 1:15 a.m., the sheriff's office said. About 300 people attended the gathering.

The sheriff's office confirmed Saturday afternoon that the two people killed were Jessie Locklear Jr., 49, and Nehemiah Locklear, 16, both of Lumberton.

While deputies were still at the scene, several other people who had been shot arrived at Scotland Health Care in Laurinburg and UNC Health Southeastern Medical Center in Lumberton.

One victim was later taken to UNC Hospitals in Chapel
