BELLAIRE, OH — MPR Transloading is marking a decade of sand logistics along the Ohio River and has begun construction on a new sand storage facility that will expand its capacity by 65%.
The new 33,150-square-foot building is expected to boost the company’s ability to store and handle materials on-site. Since launching its sand terminal in 2015, MPR has moved about 10 million tons of sand from barge and rail to truck.
The company plays a role in supporting several major industries in the Ohio Valley, including energy, steel, agriculture, and construction.
