NEW ORLEANS — Saints coach Kellen Moore said Monday he’s not ready to announce a starting quarterback for the Los Angeles Rams game Sunday. He said he expects to make a decision on a starter “shortly”. The expectation now is that Moore will announce his starting quarterback Wednesday.

Spencer Rattler has been the Saints starting quarterback for the first eight games of the season, New Orleans is 1-7. Right now, Rattler is the 23rd ranked quarterback in the NFL by Passer Rating.

Sunday against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Kellen Moore took Rattler out and inserted rookie Tyler Shough, which led to the speculation about what’s coming next.
