Derry City boss Tiernan Lynch has restated his call that their in-form wide player Michael Duffy be considered for an Ireland call-up.
The 31-year-old has been the key figure for City this season as they secured a top-three finish for the season with Sunday’s 2-1 win at home to league leaders and champions-elect Shamrock Rovers. Duffy’s international career never took off even though he went through the process of switching allegiance from Northern Ireland to the Republic but Lynch says Duffy can break in and also do even better in terms of domestic form.
