PITTSBURGH —

Police and emergency responders were on the scene following a stabbing at a school in Pittsburgh's Hays neighborhood Monday afternoon.

Sky 4, Pittsburgh's Action News 4, was over the scene at New Outlook Academy along Agnew Road, where one person appeared to have been taken away in an ambulance. Advertisement

Allegheny County dispatchers confirmed to Action News 4 that officials were called to the scene after 2 p.m.

According to Pittsburgh Public Safety, a 15-year-old girl had been stabbed multiple times in the hands and head.

Their preliminary investigation showed a 14-year-old girl had allegedly stabbed the victim with a pair of scissors.

That teenager was taken into custody. The 15-year-old was taken to a hospital where she is stable.
