CO Troy Fondie (Orr) reports waterfowl hunters were scarce and the birds few. Area forest roads and trails were monitored as those hunters continue looking for grouse keep searching.

CO Sean Cannon (Cook) reports many people were out with the continued nice weather. In addition to monitoring anglers, grouse hunters, waterfowl hunters and forest roads, he investigated spruce top cutting.

CO Marc Johnson (Hibbing) worked small-game, big-game and ATV activity, continued investigating a variety of complaints and worked a special firearms deer hunt in McCarthy Beach State Park. Violations included license/registration, decorative materials and burning violations.

CO Duke Broughten (Aurora ) encountered fewer hunters this week. He found multiple hunters preparing for the upcoming firearms
