It’s been a rough couple of weeks for Penn State quarterbacks from the 2024 roster.
First, just over two weeks ago against Northwestern, Penn State starter Drew Allar sustained an ankle injury that ended his college career and required surgery.
Now, in a ranked matchup with Vanderbilt on Saturday, Missouri starter Beau Pribula was carted off the field in an air cast for an apparent ankle injury .
Initial reports revealed it could be season-ending, but Pribula received a more positive update Sunday, via 24Sports’ Matt Zenitz .
Pribula sustained ligament damage and a bad sprain, but he won’t need surgery. That gives him an outside shot at playing again during the regular season, and an even better chance when his Tigers advance to the College Football Playoff or a bowl game.
