ARLINGTON, Iowa — A collision on Highway 3 southeast of Arlington on Friday led to significant vehicle damage and injuries.
The Fayette County Sheriff's Office reported that Frank Lee Goedken, 66, of Lamont, was stopped at a red light when a vehicle driven by Jayden Charles Rouse, 20, of Maynard, collided with him from behind.
Both vehicles were declared total losses. Goedken sustained injuries and was taken to a local hospital. Rouse, who also sustained injuries, traveled by personal vehicle to another hospital. There is no information available on their injuries at this time.
The Sheriff's Office received assistance from the Strawberry Point Ambulance, Strawberry Point Fire Department, and the Iowa State Patrol.
