The Uttarakhand government informed the High Court that it has set up an advisory committee to address concerns regarding exorbitant fees charged by private schools. The decision came after Haldwani resident Deepchandra Pandey filed a PIL alleging overcharging practices by several institutions.
The state government encourages guardians to file complaints with the committee. Despite Pandey's claim, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) reported no complaints from students or parents so far.
