LONGVIEW, Texas (KETK)-- Arthur James Woods was arrested and booked into the Gregg County Jail on Oct. 24 in connection to a shooting that occurred on May 14.

According to an affidavit obtained by KETK, two peace officers were dispatched to the intersection of South High Street and Potter Street in reference to a welfare check on May 14. Upon their arrival, they noticed a male, Lawrence Henderson Jr., lying in the road who appeared to have been shot in the head.

The officers observed a pool of blood in the roadway where Lawrence was found, and a trail of blood that led them to a vacant lot near South High Street and Eckman Street.
