Pull out your coats and winter clothes as West Texas and Eastern New Mexico might experience the first freeze of the season ahead of Halloween thanks to potent cold front.
According to the National Weather Service, a swath of counties in the West Texas, South Plains and Panhandle as well as portions of Eastern New Mexico have been placed under a freeze watch until Wednesday morning.
NWS is forecasting sub-freezing temperatures in the mid-20s to near 30 degrees from late Tuesday night through Wednesday morning.
