SAN ANTONIO — Victor Wembanyama has racked up broken records, highlight-reel blocks and awe-inspiring plays through the San Antonio Spurs' first three games of the season – all wins – and now has an NBA accolade to show for it.

The association on Monday announced that San Antonio's star center was named Western Conference Player of the Week after an initial slate of matchups that saw him become the first player in NBA history to record at least 100 points, 40 rebounds and 15 blocks through any team's first three games.
