Star Auburn wide receiver Cam Coleman returned to Saturday’s game against Arkansas after suffering an ankle injury, but his status for this week’s game against Kentucky is unknown.

Head coach Hugh Freeze told reporters on Monday that Coleman “not so good” on Sunday, but “much better” on Monday.

"We’re hopeful," Freeze said, “but again don’t really know at this point.”

The SEC Network broadcast reported on Saturday that Coleman had suffered a high ankle sprain, but Freeze said Auburn’s medical team confirmed that it is not a high ankle sprain, making the recovery time shorter.

Despite Coleman’s status being up in the air, Auburn received positive injury news in its running back room. UConn transfer Durell Robinson will be back this week, Freeze said, after missing the last six games.
