ANN ARBOR, MI — Michigan football fans have almost certainly, and repeatedly, watched that Allstate commercial featuring a certain sugary treat and Michigan Stadium.

The advertisement shows an adult Michigan football fan stealing cotton candy from a boy in front of Wolverine great Charles Woodson — and, he soon discovers, the entire stadium.

Well, the seemingly realistic commercial was not filmed during any home game, or at the stadium itself.

The ad features an artificial intelligence production of the Big House, David Ablauf, associate athletic director for Michigan Athletics, wrote in an email this month.

UM works with external partners for their digital advertisements, he wrote.
