After multiple attempts to reschedule, BOOFest has been cancelled, according to the Morristown Parks and Recreation Department.
"We regret to announce that Boofest is canceled this year due to weather conditions," the department said in a release. "Despite efforts to find an alternative location, including working with College Square Mall and exploring a downtown option, the forecasted rain, cooler temperatures, and potential for low attendance make it unfeasible.
"We understand how much the community looks forward to this event, and we share in your disappointment. We are currently working on a solution for issuing spooky pass refunds and will share details soon. Thank you for your understanding, and we look forward to bringing BOOFest back next year."
