Donald Trump says he won’t be meeting with Prime Minister Mark Carney for some time because he is still angry about an Ontario government TV ad that criticized his protectionist tariffs.

“I don’t want to meet with him. I’m not going to be meeting with him for a long time,” the U.S. President told reporters today as he was en route to Japan after attending the Association of Southeast Asian Nations summit in Malaysia this weekend.

Steve Chase reports from Kuala Lumpur that Trump and Carney will both also be attending the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation forum in South Korea this week.
