A 24-year-old Guelph woman is facing assault charges after a police officer was kicked and bit at a downtown apartment.
Police said officers responded to a disturbance on Saturday afternoon and while on scene, the woman is alleged to have made “concerning comments” and barricaded herself in a room.
As officers attempted to check her well-being, police said she kicked one of them in the legs. After being placed under arrest, police further allege she bit the same officer hard enough to leave teeth imprints through two layers of clothing.
The woman was charged with two counts of assaulting a police officer. She is scheduled to appear in court on Dec. 9.
