LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) - A man who was found incompetent to stand trial for a 2023 Clifton Heights homicide has now been re-indicted in that case.
Benjamen Strange of Salem, Indiana, appeared in court on Oct. 27, 2025, for an arraignment hearing. He’s accused of shooting and killing 31-year-old Sean Gray in the 300 block of Idlewylde Drive back in August of 2023.
In April of 2025, Strange was found not competent to stand trial and sent to a facility to undergo treatment.
On Oct. 7, a grand jury indicted Strange again on charges of murder of receiving stolen property.
Monday, during court, a judge set his bond at $50,000 full cash and ordered him to continue treatment while in jail.
His attorneys pleaded not guilty on his behalf.
He’s due back in court on Dec. 11.
