NEWBURGH, Ind. (WEHT) -- A new service comes to Ascension Saint Vincent, Epworth Crossing in Newburgh.

The medical provider is expanding its dispensary of hope to provide free or low-cost medications to those without insurance. Dispensary of Hope already operates at the Evansville campus. The program works with drug makers to give donated medications to those in need.

In the past year, Dispensary of Hope has helped fill more than 1,000,000 free prescriptions nationwide. That comes out to about 3,000 daily.
