MASSILLON, Ohio (WOIO) - Parents from Missouri are asking for the Massillon Police Department to launch an internal investigation.
On October 3rd, Cardinal Ritter Prep came to Massillon for a high school football game.
Police say several physical altercations broke out after the game, and 2 officers pepper-sprayed the players of Cardinal Ritter.
In a statement posted on Facebook, Massillon Police say the officers “operated within our policies and procedures for the use-of-force action taken.”
Monday, parents of those players, along with several attorneys, held a news conference.
Parents got emotional when speaking about the ways that day has impacted their kids.
Some parents said their children are now in therapy, trying to work through what happened. Saying they believe the kids did
