WASHINGTON, D.C. – The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) recently took to social media to promote Immigrations and Customs Enforcement (ICE) using images and phrases associated with Halo, a popular first-person-shooter video game franchise.

The department shared a photo from the game with the quote “Destroy the flood,” which refers to the antagonists of the game series. “Floods” in Halo are fictional parasitic alien life forms. They also captioned the photo with a phrase associated with Halo, “finishing this fight.”

The photo also featured the URL to ICE’s recruitment website.

The Halo series was developed by Xbox Game Studios, a subsidiary of Washington-based tech giant Microsoft.
