LAS VEGAS (KLAS) -- A woman who faces charges of battery allegedly bit an officer in the leg and spat in another's face during an arrest, according to documents 8 News Now obtained.

On Tuesday, Oct. 21, at around 3 p.m., officers responded to a battery call at a residence in the 1000 block of F Street.

A man told police he was sitting on the front porch of the residence playing games on his cell phone while a woman, identified as Alexandria Fields, 32, was using a hammer to pick weeds out of the front yard, according to the arrest report.

He told police that Fields got "very upset" and began to yell that the music from his phone was inappropriate before she approached him and began to kick him. Fields then allegedly raised the hammer above her head as if she was going to hit the victim
