Police have arrested a man in connection to the death of a 12-year-old boy who was riding a mini-bike in Stamford a few months ago.
Police said the child was riding a mini-bike southbound on Courtland Avenue around 8:45 p.m. on Aug. 2 and was with a family member who was on a scooter.

According to investigators, they had pulled out of the travel lane and over to the shoulder of the road when an unidentified vehicle hit the mini-bike and caused the child to be thrown. The boy reportedly landed in the lawn of a private home.
Two neighbors that lived in the area heard the collision and came to help perform CPR on the boy. He was transported to Stamford Hospital where he later died of his injuries.
