HAMDEN, Conn. (WFSB) - A judge dismissed criminal charges against a Hamden woman who was arrested twice for participating in protests on highway overpasses as part of a nationwide visibility campaign.
Katherine Hinds faced trespassing and breach of peace charges after being arrested for participating in protests that are part of the visibility brigade, a nationwide effort to use highway overpasses to share messages with as many people as possible. The State’s Attorney’s Office dismissed all charges.
Hours of state police body camera footage shows what led up to Hinds’ arrests. The footage captures a trooper telling Hinds, “We have given you too many opportunities, so I will place you under arrest for trespassing.”
