BEMIDJI — Since dropping a road game against Wayne State on Sept. 28, the Bemidji State women’s soccer team hasn’t lost.

On Sunday afternoon at Chet Anderson Stadium, the Beavers extended their unbeaten streak to eight games with a 2-1 win over Winona State.

It took some heroics to get it, too.

Tied 1-1 in the 88th minute, Katrina Barthelt scored her 10th goal this season on a penalty kick to give BSU a 2-1 win.

Breanna Weilert scored the fixture’s first goal in the 13th minute with an assist from Ella Wade. It was Weiler’s first college goal. Jacey Sturek tied the game on a penalty kick in the 80th minute before Barthlet’s strike.
