COLUMBIA, S.C. (WIS) - The four major food banks in South Carolina are calling on state and federal government officials to end the ongoing shutdown and to invest more in hunger relief programs.
The four primary banks, Harvest Hope, Lowcountry, Golden Harvest and Second Harvest, sent out a statement on Monday highlighting the urgent need for the ongoing government shutdown to end, saying that food banks cannot give the same amount of support that SNAP does.
