ROCKLAND, Maine (WABI) - Will the City of Rockland get a new police station? That’s the $5 million question facing voters this election.

“The first time [I was here when] it really rained, you could see the water coming in, and it was like, yeah, that happens. It comes through the brick. You can see it on the interior coming down through the walls, so it’s a problem,” said Tim Carroll, police chief, City of Rockland.

After more than 20 years in the same building nestled between Main Street and Park Drive, Rockland Police say they’re in desperate need of a new police station.

“My biggest concern is the health and wellness of the staff that work here because of the mold issue,” Carroll explained.
