Srinagar, Oct 27: Over Rs 50,000 lakh have been earmarked for developmental works under the Cities and Towns and Potholes Schemes across Jammu and Kashmir for the financial year 2025–26, Deputy Chief Minister, Surinder Kumar Choudhary informed the Assembly on Monday.
Responding to a starred question raised by Baramulla MLA Javid Hassan Baig, Choudhary, who also holds the Public Works (R&B) portfolio, provided a detailed breakdown of the allocated funds aimed at improving road infrastructure across the UT.
According to the figures presented, a total of Rs 42,224.68 lakh has been allocated under the Cities and Towns scheme, Rs 8,332.22 lakh under PMGSY Cities and Towns, and Rs 3,268.29 lakh under the Potholes Programme.
