WESTLAKE, Ohio – City officials held the grand opening on Oct. 25 for the nearly $5 million Parkside Athletic Field Complex with a ribbon cutting and an opportunity for young soccer and football players to try out the artificial turf fields.

The youth players participated in drills, and Ohio Mobile Gaming provided inflatable football and soccer challenges.

“This is a game changer for us,” said Larry Wolf, an organizer with the Westlake Soccer Association. “With an outdoor facility like this and the turf fields, we’ll be able to practice well into the winter and have safe, playable fields for the kids. It’s going to make a difference for their development.”
