CONCORD, N.H. —

The New Hampshire attorney general is joining 37 other attorneys general in calling for a loophole to be closed that they say is allowing products to be sold that are making children sick.

The 38 attorneys general are calling on Congress to act to clarify the definition of "hemp" to make sure that synthetic and intoxicating THC products that have been chemically altered from hemp are made illegal.

Officials said the products look like candy and have fun and colorful packaging, but they can make people sick.

The products are being sold across New Hampshire in gas stations and convenience stores, and officials with the New Hampshire Attorney General's Office say parents deserve to know that the gummy or soda their child sees on a store shelf won't send them to the emergen
