A court in Ahmedabad on Monday rejected the bail pleas of 13 foreign and five Indian nationals out of the 20 arrested by Ahmedabad Rural Police over the weekend from a party on Thaltej-Shilaj road where liquor had been allegedly served to
attendees.
This has led to 18 persons – including 13 foreign nationals – going back to Sabarmati Central Jail while two alleged bootleggers have been sent to police custody for a day.
Bopal Police had arrested 20 out of the 70 gathered at Zephyr Stays Farm House on October 24 for illegal consumption of liquor and booked them under the Prohibition Act .
The 20 people included 15 attendees and five organisers. Of the 20, 13 were foreign nationals – nine from Kenya and one each from Botswana, Comoros, Mozambique and Madagascar. Among the Indians, one
