Srinagar- The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has registered a case against an Aligarh-based man for allegedly setting up a “Centre for Narendra Modi Studies” without obtaining approval from the Central government or the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO), officials said on Monday.
The agency initiated action following a complaint from the PMO, which had forwarded a petition filed by an Aligarh-based advocate. The complainant alleged that Jasim Mohammad was running the centre without mandatory permission, thereby violating the Emblems and Names (Prevention of Improper Use) Act, 1950 .
