The New York Yankees and Boston Red Sox both reached the postseason this year. While neither team made it to the World Series, their matchup in the wild card round added a new chapter to their rivalry.
Cam Schlittler's back and forth with Red Sox fans made plenty of headlines, but now Aroldis Chapman is adding to the rivalry. Chapman spent seven seasons with the Yankees, but is now making it clear he wants nothing to do with the organization ever again.
"No way," Chapman said in Spanish on "Swingcompletollc" when asked if he would ever consider joining the Yankees again. "Not even dead. If I were told that I was being traded to New York, I’d pack my things and go home. I’ll retire right on the spot if that happens. I’m not crazy. Never again. … I dealt with a lot of disrespect there.”
